JAPANESE FORTIFICATION,

The Tokio correspondent' of the "Daily Express" stares that it is reported that Japan lias decided to fortify the Bonin Island,s which are situated about 500 miles south of the Japanese mainland. Particular regard is to be paid tor protection against aircraft. Experts haVe been sent to study the question.—A. and N.Z.
