There is a widespread inclination to take a hopeful view of tihe strike prospects. Many people believe- that the House of Commons debate will result in re-opening the negotiations and that possibly the miners will be conceded the 2s increase forthwith, to be withdrawn after a certain period if the stipulated output is not attained.
