BURIED BEFORE INQUEST.
UNUSUAL PROCEDURE.
CEfRISTCHURCH, This Day Not often is a burial conducted before th e inquest is actually opened concerning a death, but this has'occurred in connection with the death in (the Christcfotfrch Hospital of George Murdoch, a fireman on the steamer Aristo. Murdoch's body was buried on Tuesday, Oct. 12. On the Sunday preceding he was operated on and died th e same day. At the inquest on Wednesday evidence wag given that death was due to failure of respiration caused by a caranomatous growth involving tho spinal column. A verdict was returned in accordance with the medical testimony.—Press Assn.
