AMUSEMENTS.
LYCEUM.
TO-NIGHT,
Sessue'Hayakawa is such a charming actor that one can extend sympathy to him in roles, such as he has had of late, where the beautiful Western girl-cannot marry him because of racial prejudice or the colour line or some other reason. In "Bonds of Honour,"-his latest Haworth special feature, he is at last fortunate in getting a girl to himself, without having to fade out in grief at the close of h e picture, In " Bonds of Honour he is responsible far a remarkably fine characterisation in the dual role he has essayed, that o f twin brothers, alike in feature, but very dissimilar in morals and habits. The story introduces Hun treachery and Japanese Secret Service, and has not a dull moment throughout. The double exposures arc so cleverly produced as to create a«perfect illusion. 498
