GREAT FLOODS
A SCOTTISH VISITATION
WORST FOR NINETY YEARS
MORAY DISASTERS RECALLED.
(Received 11 a.m.)
LONDON, Oct. 6.
Parts of Scotland have been devastated by wind and rain storms. The rivers Don and Dee are flooded and the countryside for miles lie inundated.
The floods are the worst since August, 1829, when the Moray floods occurred, whereioi the rivers Spry and Findhorn rose in some places fifty feet and caused great loss of property and many lives.
SWipping at Aberdeen suffered heavy damage, five drifters and two small steamers being wrecked. —Reuter.
