A BARBARIC ATROCITY.
BACKING FATHER'S FEELINGS. (Received U. 35 a.m.) LONDON, June 22. An atrocious crime was committed during Monday's fighting at Londonderry A party of armed men seized and bound a young soldier named McKay, who had served in France. He had arrived on a holiday visit and was proceeding to his father's house on the outskirts of the town. The Sinn Feiners shot McKay dead. The body was then placed on a hearse and the driver ordered to convey it to the father s residence.—A. and N.Z.
