A DANGEROUS LIQUID
LIGHT FOOLISHLY USED
PALMERSTON N., June 22.
A painful accident occurred on Mr F. Mickleson's farm at Tirirauawa. Mickleson, jun., and J. Thorpe were filling a Wizard lamp with one of them holding a lighted candle, when by same mischance, the benzine splashed, and the vapour caught alight. Young Mickelson's clothes were quickly in flames. He rushed into the open-air, which only fanned the flames. On direction from his father the boy rolled on th c ground, whil e Mickelson, sen., tore off his burning garments. Both father and son were severely burned. also was burned about the chest, . hands, and face. The building in which the accident occurred was ' slightly damaged by fire.
