OVERSEAS SHIPPING.

The Maheno was expected to leave Sydney for Auckland at noon yesterday.

The Katoa is to sail for Newcastle at 10 a.m. on Monday to load a coal cargo for New Zealand.

The ketch Tarawera sailed for Levuka from the powder ground on Thursday afternoon.

The S.S. and A. liner Zealandic now loading at P*-rt Chalmer*:. is to proceed.to Blu-. from wi. c.h port she is due at Wellington on July 1. She is timed to sail from Wellington for London, via- Panama, on July 3.

The steamer Westmeath wirelessed to Messrs A. H. Nathan that she would arrive from Laverpool ,via Panama, at daylight to-day. She ia to berth at the King's wharf, whei'e she will discharge about 3000 ton. of general cargo for Auckland. She has also an English mail on board.

The Huddart Parker steamer Riverina is due from Dunedin, via ports, to-night, and will berth at the Riug's wharf. She tis timed to sail for Sydney at 5 o'clock on Tuesday night.

Messrs A. H. Nathan, Ltd., report that the F. and S. liner Durham, which sailed from Sydney for Auckland on Saturday last, will not arriv c until this afternoon The vessel wirelessed that she was meeting with bad weather.

Word has been received by the Union Company that the R.M.S. Tahiti, which is taking th 6 Makura's place on the Vancouver-Auckland run sailed from the Canadian port at noon on Wednesday, th e 16th inst. She should arrive on July 4.

The S.S. and A. liner Arawa, which arrived from Southampton on Thursday afternoon, berthed at the Queen's wharf early in the evening. The vessel left Southampton on May 6, and arrived at Panama a fortnight later. F_n« weather has been the order of the voyage, with the exception of the last few days. She brings 52 passengers in the first saloon, 81 in the second and 359 in th e third, each class containing a number of soldiers. She has some 1500 tons of cargo for Auckland, and 1020 bags of English mail. It is expected that she will remain in Auckland for a •week or so before going south.
