USED BY FOOTBALLERS. . MORE DRASTIC PENALTIES. WELLINGTON, This Day. The New Zealand Rugby Union had a discussion on the prevalence of bad language and misconduct among local players. It was stated that these offences wore far too prevalent and tha drastic action was needed, the punishments so far awarded being too lenient. A resolution was passed calling on district unions to enforce stricter penalties, the executive being determined io deal drastically, with offenders. District, unions are asked to forward copies of the proceedings at inquiries, with the precise evidence"and findings. Press Assn.
