IMPERIAL CONTRACT OFFER
ON OLD TERMS
NO CHEESE WANTED

LONDON, June 16.
Replying to a question in the Commons by Mr W. Mitchell-Thomson, the Food Minister said he had no information regarding the tenour of the negotiations by the Co-operative Wholesale Company for the purchase of New Zealand 's butter and cheese output.
The Food Ministry was prepared to negotiate for the exportable surplus of Now Zealand butter to March next, on tho old contract terms, and would continue the existing restrictions on private dealings in imported butter.
The Government would not contract for Now Zealand cheese, as the supplies wpi*p expected to be sufficient. —A. and N.Z.
