RATIFICATION URGED.

MONTREAL, June 15
Mr Samuel Gompers has asked the American Federation of Labour to urge the United States Congress to ratify tho. League of Nations covenant. He said that tho league question would probably be submerged in the Presidential campaign owing to pressing internal questions. Mr Gompers added that "one big union could not endure because it ram counter to the laws of human nature.
Mr J. W. Ogden, fraternal delegate from the British 'Trades Union Congress, urged the internationalisation of the world's workers in order to further their aims and to prevent future world wars.—A. and N.Z.
