GUNN DEATH SENTENCE.
PALM-PRINT UNUSED
AUCKLAND, This Day.
After conviction for the Ponsonby murder Gunn consented to the taking of a palm-print so that it might be compared with a print on one of the casWboxes from the Ponsonby post office. The print was duly forwarded to Wellington, but as examinatioa did not disclose anything to benefit the prisoner it was not considered by Cabinet when determining whether the sentence of death should be executed.—tPress Assn.
