Mrs Hutchinson, the first preside/it of the Whangarei Women's Christian Temperance Union, is now in Whangaiei, and a social gathering is being arranged to meet and hear her.
The death is reported from Wellington of Mr W. S. Reid, formerly S dicitcr-General. The deceased g-ntlem..n passed away on Saturday, at the og e of 80 years.
Mr D. Miller, who was until recently in th-"? Agricultural Department in Whangarei, has now removed to the Government Experimental Farm at Weraroa, near Levin.
