SOME SOLDIER VOTES IN

The latest official figures on the licensing poll available last evening showtthatt t with all the electorates and some of the soldiers' votes accounted for, Continuance has a lead of 1640 votes.
The result of some of the voting by New Zealand soldiers in England came to hand yesterday. The figures are:— Continuance 142 State Control 230 Prohibition 33 Informal 1 Total votes counted .... 406 The result of the absentees' and seamen's voting may be available by Tuesday. Further soldiers' figures are expected to-<day. The vessels on which soldiers are at sea are due as follows:— Ruahine, 384 troops on board < at Auckland, December 25. Rimutaka, 492 troops, at Wellington, January 2nd. Kigonra 311 troops, at Wellington, January 6th. 4 Ruapehu, 184 troops, January 30 th.—.Press Assn.
