The latest official figures on the licensing poll available last evening showtthatt t with all the electorates and some of the soldiers' votes accounted for, Continuance has a lead of 1640 votes.

The result of some of the voting by New Zealand soldiers in England came to hand yesterday. Further soldiers' figures are expected to-<day. The vessels on which soldiers are at sea are due as follows:— Ruahine, 384 troops on board < at Auckland, December 25.
