W. MAINE.
BOOTMAKER, CAMERON STREET
A live man with a live business characterises Mr W. Maine, bootmaker, Cameron street. Three years ago he came to Whangarei and start-
Ed the bootselling business and by progressive methods "he has shown what can be done to build up a solid connection and gain the confidence of the public. Success was, of course, largely due to the fact that Mr Maine has had a very wide experience in the hoot trade. He has given the public the benefit of that experience, hence his popularity. His motto has been "Profits small, turnover large," and in consequence his trade has increased to such an extent that he has not only found it profitable to stock books and shoes in great variety, but also hosiery, denims and tea. These also are sold under the system of the small profit. A glance at Mr Maine's window will show that he has the goods to offer and on enquiry the public will find the prices right. His Christmas stock of fancy goods suitable for presents will also be found well worth inspection.
