OFF S. AUSTRALIAN COAST,

TWELVE FATALITIES FEARED

(Received 8 a.m.) ADELAIDE, Sept. 18. .The steamer Pareora, en route from Port Pirie to Hobart, was wrecked at the Althorpe Islands. Seven persons were rescued and twelve are missing. Two bodies have been recovered from the wreckage. Details are lacking.—A. and N.Z.
