SCENIC BEAUTIES WIPED OUT.

PAKIS j September 2. A forest fire in the Riviera encompasses Grasse and Antibles.
The people have quited the hotels at seaside resorts and are taking refuge on the beach.
The flames destroyed the splendid district of Lavendau, including Ribot and many other parks and mansions.—A. and N.Z.
