LUCERNE.
Mr T. W. Owen, Fraser road, one of the "keenest and most progressive of Taranaki farmers, has realised to the full the great benefits of lucerne hay this winter. He has a line of weaners that he has fed largely on lucerne hay and a few swedes, and he has them in almost perfect condition for this season of the year. As 3oon as the spring growth of grass starts they will demonstrate the benefit of the winter feeding he has been able to give them.
