AN INSTITUTIONAL CHURCH.
A glance at any weekly programme of work carried on at Whitefield's Institutional Church is an object-lesson in religious and social activities. The organisations meeting there include Girl Guides, Boys' Life Brigade, and classes in First Aid, Health. •Gymnastics, Elocution, Singing, Sui;-day-school Training (both for teachers and scholars), Church membership, and Dressmaking and Fancy Work. There are also in the programme before us orchestral and choir practices, girl's clubs, and fl Bible study circle. Over seventy meeting-s are 'held every week. Whitefield's goes far to realise the ideal that the Church should concern itse!f with the life of the people at every point.
