LIVERPOOL CONFLICTS
BAYONETS BROUGHT INTO USE.

There was a midnight bayonet charge at Liverpool. The mob jeered at a sentry at St. George's Hall, and made an effort to wrench his rifle from him. The sentry fired in the air. A non-com, ordered a charge, whereupon the crowd dispersed. Several were injured.
Mr Shorty in the House of Commons, said that the police had been instructed to take action in reference to a leaflet distributed at Nottingham containing the words: "Put no trust in Parliament. Get ready for revolution," —A. and N.Z.
