AN OVERWHELMING MAJORITY.
The motion was then put to the meeting (board members and unofficial delegates refrained from voting) and carried by an overwhelming majority, the dissentients being:—
The Mayor, Cr. Tibbets, Whangarei Borough Council; Mr Elliott, Mr Wilson, Portland Cement Company.
Mr Mason, Onerahi Town Board, Mr J. E. Holmes, the other Borough Council delegate, left before the vote was taken.
A vote of thanks to th c chairman, proposed by M r Mason, concluded a most enthusiastic meeting. ■.: ■, ...
