At the latest monthly meeting of the Otamatea County Council a circular was received from the Auckland member as the next Minister of Public Works, the more urgent prosecution of railway works, and the appointment of a delegate to attend the deputation .which will shortly proceed to Wellington. The council expressed its thorough endorsement of the contents of the circular and decided to appoint its chairman (Cr. R. Smith) to act on the deputation. Several other councillors also expressed their intention of accompanying the League's deputation.
