A GREAT OVATION
NEW YORK, Sept. 29
Huge and eager crowds gave President Wilson a great ovation. When the President's train arrived at the station in New York the crowds broke through the police, military, and secret service force guarding the President. Men shook his hands and women threw showers of flowers on him and kissed his hands. The President's reception at the meeting was extraordinary. He spoke simply and unaffectedly, and his speech rang in the people's ears like words of a prophet.—A. andN.Z.
