SOCIALIST OPINION
(Received 10.20 p.m.) Herr Branting, in a remarkable article in the "Social Democraten," as'ks:—"ls it out of the question that the Allies should reject the Austro-German peace offer outright? The Allies in the past year have given over-much rein in imperialistic influences. It is high time this is corrected. The Allied statesmen have neglected revision of their war aims, which ought to nave, been a self-evident, duty demanded by the whole of revolutionary Russia; after unmasking the ..secret treaties. If the Allies coldly Tfeject the offer the peoples of the world will regard it as a critical and foolish act. Once the discussions are begun the world's opinion will demand that they be follow'e*up."—A. and.N.Z.
