Lemons, New Zealand grown, 20/ to 25/ per case; apples, cooking, 13/6 to 14/6; dessert apples, 17/6 to £1; pears, dessert, 15/ to 20/; cucumbers, 9/ to 13/ per dozen; asparagus, 6/ to 9/ per dozen one-lb bundles; green peas, 7d to 9d per lb; tomatoes, 1/6 to 1/10; strawberries, 1/6 to 2/9 per punnet.
