(Australian and N.Z. etc. and Eeuter.) (Press Alssn.—Reed. 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, November 9. • An Egyptian official report says: "The whole of the Turkish army is retreating northwards, bombed by British aeroplanes.

"The enemy upon our right is retir. ing on Hebron. We hampered his retreat, capturing men and transport.

"Our mounteds, advancing through Jemameh and Huj, thirteen and nine miles respectively eastward of Gaza, reached the south bank of the Wadi Hesi, which is twelve miles northward of the old Turkish front, thus establishing a contact with our forces advancing from Gaza.

"The latter forces have captured the north bank at the mouth of the Wadi Hesi and have taken Herbies, reaching the railway aud turning the enemy's prepared position on this line.

"We also captured the Turkish coastal railhead at Beithanun and , are pursuing the enemy in the direction of the Wadi Hesi.

"We have captured over forty

guns.

"The British navy, assisted by the French actively co-operated throughout, bombarding the enemy's communications near the coast and affording other valuable assistance."
