LONDON, December 14
Lord Inchcape, at a P. and O. Company meeting, announced that the Poona (without passengers), bound from India to .Australia, had been either mined or torpedoed off Beachy Head on December 6. She was dam. aged badly. War vessels assisted her to port where she will be repaired.
