Mr H. A. Durhey, of the Whangarei Public Works office, left by the noon boat-train to-day on holiday leave. Mr and Mrs Dan Lewis were back in Whangarei j'esterday after on extended honeymoon tour of both North and South Islands. They intend to take up thoir abode at Kaiiaia. Mr Jas. E. Shimtnin, formerly principal of the Glenboro' High School and for some time an assitsant master at the Whangarei Public, School, has been appointed science master to the Whangarei High School. Mr E. W. Tattley, who has been mine manager at Kiripaka for a considerable time, has received notice of -Ills appointment to a first-lieutenancy. Stuart Thomson lihs tendered his resignation as teacher at the Whangarei High School, having received appointment as assistant master at the Otago Boys' High School.
