DAIRY ASD OTHEK STOCK;
Messrs F. and W. Wakelir. report having held their usual monthly ca-k tie sales at Karao on Wednesday, 6tH December, when upwards, of seventeen hundred head of cattle were submitted by auction to numerous buyers both local and foreign, Messrs Fletcher and Co., Messrs Armour and Co., and Messrs Paterson and Co., being the principal beef buyers. Beef sold at from 45s to 50s per lOri lbs., &&irs\ nfta£. f|o# £16 to £22 15; cows made from £12 fo £19. One consignment of twenty-two bullocks made £17 12s 6d each, ditto 17 bullocks £18, ditto 16 bullocks £17, ditto 14 bullocks £19 10s and 20 bullocks £19 2s 6d; 4 to 5-year-old store bullocks sold up to £15 15s; 4-year steers sold from £13 10s to £14 10s; 2% to '.3-year-oid steers £12 to £13 10s} 2year old steers made from £9 10s io £11 10s; yearling and eighteen-month old steers made £8 10s td £9 ISSJ weaned calves from £4 to £5, figed bulls made from £9 10s to £12, gtfod" dairy heifers close to profit -ihad'e' up to £16 7s 6d; sound reliable dairy cows on third calf made from £12 to £15 53.
