WELSH AGITATORS.
A PROPOSED MEETING,
LONDON, December 5. The Home Secretary (Mr Herbert Samuel), in a letter to Mr 0. R. Stanton (Labour M.P. for Merthyr Tydvil), referring to the projected conference of the so-called National Council of Civil Liberties to be held at Merthyr Tydvil on Saturday next, suggested that Mr Stanton should induce his constituents to ignore the meeting, thus depriving it of the advertisement which disturbances on the part of patriotic citizens would give it. Mr Stanton replied acquiescing in the suggestion.
