REPORTED FALL OF BUCHAREST.
NOT OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED. BRITISH CABINET CHANGES. BONAR LAW OR LLOYD GEORGE ? News from the Balkans to-day is gloomy. A message received from a Berlin source in Vancouver says that the enemy have entered Bncbar. est. The message lacks official confirmation, but it is not unlikely to be correct, as the. Russo-Roumanian defence seems to have been broken in the west. The attempt to turn the enemy flank through the Carpathians has also temporarily failed. Sweeping changes are spoken of in the British Cabinet, but it is not yet clear who is to take the Prime Ministership. At first it was stated that Mr Bonar Law was to be Mr Asqnifh's successor, but the latest messages point to Mr Lloyd George as the new leader. Reports are current that. General Joffre will he relieved of his posi. tion as Commander-in-Chief of the Allied armies. The position in Greece does not appear to have materially improved.
