Mr Perrett is particularly happy in his portrayal of early morning and evening effects as can be seen by a study of No. 22, "Evening, North Fiord," ami No. 23 "Evening, Mount Cook, from Lake Pukaki," and many other beautiful picture.: in oil and also pastel, in which latter medium there are some charming md restful effects.
