NEXT KAWAKAWA MEETING. TO BE HELD IX WHANGAREI. At a nioethig of the Kawakawa Rac.ll g Club it was decided that the next liinual race meeting (making the 48th) of the club be held on the WTiangarei jourse. The conditions which influenced this decision were explained by the chairman, who said that it had been found impossible to get a new course ready for the January meeting and the old one was out of the question. For the last forty-seven years Kawakawa had never missed holding a meeting and they should not let it fall through now. It seemed that the alternative was to hold the meeting thie year on the Whangarei course. The Minister for Internal Affairs had telegraphed permission to hold it this. year. at Whangarei, but in future meetings must be held on the elub'sown ground. The secretary (Mr W..A.>Bell) said the Whangarei club agreed to the proposal to hold the Kawakawa meeting on their course, and would offer every facility to carry it through successfully. The Kawakawa club had £130 in hand which would form a good basis for a liberal programme.
