CABINET TO DECIDE.
UNION MASS MEETING TO-MORROW
i\i Wellington telegraphic message gives the Hon. W. H. Herries (ActingMinister of Labour) as the authority"*" for stating that, after several conferences, the delegates of both parties to the drivers' dispute had agreed to refer their differences, which were not very great, to the Cabinet, and to accept whatever decision the Cabinet might make. To that extent, therefore, the trouble may be regarded as settled. When interviewed in Auckland yesterday on his return from the Wellington conference, 'Mr George Davis?, secretary of the tVuckland Driven' Union, said that the proceedings r> far were of a strictly private nature. and that nothing could be made publi .•■ until after the mass meeting of menbers of the Drivers' Union, which h;s been called for 11 a.m. to-morrow ..-. the Trades' Hall.
