PERSONAL.
Although there was a very heavy downpour at Kaikoho on Tuesday night, a thoroughly representative gathering of residents met to I'arewel! Mr Mackley, who has been transferred as statioumaster to Onerahi. General regret was expressed that one who had taken such an interest in patriotic affairs and the general welfare of the district shoold be leaving the district and Mr Mackley was presented with p handsome, inscribed, silver tea and coffee service. During the evening there was dancing and a varied programme including hakas and the rendering in Maori of "For They Are Jolly Goo'l Fellows'" by the natives present. Mr Guy presided, and among the visitors were Judge Wilson, Mr BlomfieJd (of Auckland), and Mr Miller (of Kawakawa).
