Mr .Norman (Prince) McKenzie, of Waipu, an ex-chairman of Whangarei County Council, is on a visit to Whangarei. Constable G. N. Douglas, who was recently transferred to- Havclock from Kawakawa, is gazetted clerk of the Magistrate's "and Warden's Courts at Havelock as from November 1, vice Sergeant I. H. Mathieson. Messrs W. G. McDonald (ehairmaiJ) P. Hally (associate) and J. W. C. Collins (secretary), of the Dominon Board of Trade, who have made the Commercial Hotel their headquarters while in Whangarei, left at 10.30 a.m. to-day by motor car for Dargaville, where they will meet deputations of sawinillers, on the subject of kahikatea export, and the Dargaville Borough Council respecting various matters.
