DRIVERS' DISPUTE.
THE £3 MINIMUM
DECLINED BY EMPLOYERS.
A telegraphic message from Wellington states that a further conference of employers and drivers' delegates with the Minister of Labour yes. terday failed to result successfully, and was adjourned till this morning. The employers were disposed to increase their first offer of a minimum wage, but were unwilling to concede a general minimum of £.'■! throughout New Zealand. This is the chief stumbling block, '*nt good feeling prevails, and both parties intend to consider a proposal to leave the whole question in the hands of the National Government and accept its decision as final.
