MR BALFOUR'S OPINION.
A SOUND BRITISH VICTORY
BLOCKADE TIGHTER THAN EVER
The High Commissioner reporting from London under date June 8, says:
Mr Balfour, speaking in the City to-day, added his appreciation of the services of Lord Kitchener, and in discussing the North Sea battle said he regarded the result, as a British victory, not merely a paper one. Neither in the North Sea nor in the Baltic can the German fleet for months to come make an organised effort. We not merely carried off.the honours of the day, but. gathered substantial fruits. The dream of the invasion of Britain has been dissipated for ever. The blockade is also tighter than ever.
