COPENHAGEN, August 20
A submarine hailed the mail steamer Irma, bound from Newcastle, when she was a little north of Jaeteren's Reef. The Irma swung out her boats. Meanwhile a Norwegian, torpedo boat arrived and told the submarine that she was in Norwegian waters. The submarine thereupon retired.
There were several British tourists on board the Irma.
