RED CROSS EVENING.
FOR DR. FRAZER-HURST'S HOSPITAL.
Last night the Presbyterian Girls' Junior Bible-class gave an interesting social in their schoolroom which resulted in the sum' of ,C 2Us being raised for Dr. Frazer-Hurst's military, hospital. The advertisement com]>-tl-tion was won by Miss Chrissie Ortniston (a toilet box), while Mr McKinnon for a consolation prize received a memento of Japan. The tree competition was won by Master Arthur Day (a serviette ring). The furniture competition prize (a hair-brush) i was secured by Miss Eyles. During the evening the Misses Stella Slapson and Gladys Cambie played the duet "Pearl of the Night." Mrs Reyburn's song "Knitting," Miss Keyburn's "Your King and your country need you" and Miss Cambie's piu>.oforte solo "'Home Sweet Homo ,- Were all good numbers. Musical chairs and supper also found a. place in the evening's programme. All present spent a most enjoyable time. The sing-ing cf the National Anthem concluded 'he social.
