OFFER TO BELGIAN WOMEN
WELLINGTON, July 20
In reply to a letter from the New Zealand Government to the Belgian Minister in London suggesting the immigration of Belgian women to New Zealand, the Government has received a cable thanking the Government for the proposal, but stating that owing to the war the population of Belgium has been so depleted that, the women cannot be spared.
