Private Stephen Fatt, who has been wounded at the Dardanelles is a brother of Mr S. Fatt, Tangowahine.
The Girl Scouts last night presented Dr. H. A. Good with a handsome travelling rug in recognition of his kindness in giving their classes instruction. Miss Ventry Smith gracefully m a de the presentation which the doctor warmly acknowledged.
Lieutenant W. W. Averill, eldest son of the Bishop of Auckland, has gone to Palmerston North to join the reinforcements for the Mounted Rifle Brigade. Lieut. Averill acted as aide-de-camp to his Excellency the Governor for six months, but during the last six months has been a student at St. John's College and has attended lectures at the University.
