SHAKP ACTIONS.
FRENCH HOLD THEIR OWN.

A communique says sharp actions have occurred on the heights of the Meuse. We re-captured a trencn section which the enemy occupied on Saturday upon a ridge on the southern slope of the Sovauk ravine and repulsed a fresh German attack accompanied by jets- of burning liquids. We inflicted very heavy losses taking prisoners over 200.
