SITUATION ALARMING.
ANARCHY PREVAILS
(Received noon.) The "Giornale D'Halia"
states
that refugees bring alarming news of the Ottoman situation. Troops at Adrianople revolted, refusing to go to Constantinople, which they call the Turkish soldiers' tomb. Enver Pasha has been summoned to restore order. A plot has been discovered against Enver and the Germans. As a result of which 50 officers and soldiers were shot on Thursday without trial. Anarchy reigns in Constantinople. Private houses are requisitioned for the wounded, the price of bread has been inflated, coal is scarce, hindering navigation ?nd there is a shortage of doctors and medical requisites. The persecution of Armenians and foreigners continues. The committee of Union Progress, seeing impending" ruin, is sending emissaries to Egypt, Tunis and Libya for the purpose of formenting crime.
