RIOTS AT LLANNELLY

SEVEN ARRESTS MADE.

LONDON, July 18

The South Wales Miners' Executive is returning despondently. Despite their promise to meet Mr Runclman the coal-owners have hitherto left the affair In the hands of the Government Nov/ they have arranged to meet Mr Runclman on Monday.

The miners' leaders hav e made no decision regarding strike pay, the granting of which will be a ssr'ious matter to the Union in view of the Munitions Act and the wholesale dislocation of trade in the west is feared. Several large works already have closed down. If the strike continues until Wednesday the coal stocks will be depleted by one million tons.

Unimportant rioting has occurred at Llannelly. Seven arrests ware made.
