IMAGINARY X.AVAL DISASTER,
(Press Assn.—Reed. &.:>:■, a.m.) LONDON', May II
Press Ourean quote a Berlin
ol'icii!.! iuarement professedly mentioning a naval light off Bergiu on the night of the 7th April, and alleging thai the Superb and the Warrior were sunk and the Lion was damaged. Other disasters are :i lso detailed, but
the German naval forces suffered no loss.
Berlin adds that, the German navy did not participate in any fight on the night mentioned; therefore the British ships must have been in conflict with each other in the darkness.
Mr Churchill describes the above as an absolute fabrication, which shows Germany's anxiety at the present moment to impress neutral States.
