PUBLIC Notice is hereby given that the following by-laws were at a special meeting of the Whangarei Harbour Board held on the 2Gth day of March, 1915, adopted by the said Harbour Board the same to come into force on the Ist day of JUNE, 191.1 WHANOAREI HARBOUR BOARD BY-LAWS. The Whangarei Harbour Board in pursuance of the powers and provisions of "The Whangarei Harbours* Act, 1907," and "The Harbours Act, 1908," and the Acts, if any, amending the same and of all other powers it thereto enabling do hereby at a Special Meeting of the said Board, held this 26th day of March, 1915, make and adopt, within the limits of the Harbour of Whangarei the By-laws following after the same had been duly printed and notified the same to come into force on and after the Ist day of June, 1915. LAUNCH REGULATIONS. 1. The owner or person in charge of any steam, gas, oil, electric, or motor launch shall not permit, any (such launch to lie continuously alongside any wharf, jetty or landing and the owner or person in charge of amsuch launch shall remove the same from its berth to any other berth or place when requested so to do by th Harbourmaster or any other servau of the Board. Any person commit!; ing a breach of this By-law shall b liable to a penalty not exceeding £f 2. The first incoming or departin: launch shall have the right to clair, preference for berth or mooring. ?>. Every launch passing on the rivo between the limits of the Vietori: Bridge and the Southern end of tin Board's store shed on the Town YVhar shall proceed at a speed of not great er than three miles per hour. 4. The master or owner of every sel in respect, of which a license i.< granted under Clause 26 of the Board's By-laws is hereby warned that th< Board's By-laws will be strictly enforced especially the requirements as to side ■ lights, number of passenger? •carried, otc. The owners of launches for which a license is granted are required to provide suitable conveniences for the use of passengers. 5 Should the owner of any vessel or launch which Is plying for hire whether for the carriage of passengers or goods desire to take-out a license for such vessel or launch for towing or tug boat purposes and whether such vessel or launch is driven by steam, oil, gas, electric, or other power he may do so by paying an additional Gum or fee of £3 10s. In By-law 40 of the Board's Bylaws the words "steam tug boat" shall be deleted and ihe words "power boat" substituted. 6. Clause 20 of the Board's By-laws of the 11th day of January, 1912* shall be amended so that the wharfage or landing charge of any sheep shall be one penny per head instead of-two-pence per head as therein charged. 7. By-law No. 10 shall be amended by adding thereto the words "at the cost and expense of such person." The common seal of the Whangarei Harbour Board was hereto set" and impressed in pursuance of a resolution of the said Board made this 2Gth day of March, 1915, by and in the presence of: J. R.
