END OF THE SEASON,
The Whangarei Rowing Club con-,;;, eluded ■ its season yesterday. The -, interest evinced in former races;: was somewhat lacking yesterday;, nevertheless some fine rowing was. done. The races were for McMahon's Cup and the photographs presented by Mr E. d e Tourret. Following are ' the results: — ~ First Heat. —R. Gieson and J." Taylor .1, S. Novell and D. Hanlon 2. _ Two other crews competed. This' was a. well-contested race, Gieson.. winning by half a iength. ~ Second Hea.t. —G. Johnsfon and J. Taylor 1, J. Noton and M. White 2. Four crews competed. Taylor's ; crew won by two lengths. * ,j
