COUNTY WORKS.
ENGINEER'S REPORT.
The County engineer (Mr W. M. Fraser) presented the following report 'of, Works laid off and completed to the Whangarei County' Council on Friday last:—- "
.Works laid off:—Gravelling 100 cubic yards at Waipu; Hunter's road, Mangakahia, 30ft bridge; Otaikrangi ,to Riponui, 50 chains formation; Wha-ngarei-'Whareora, concrete culvert and formation; -Whareora to Hora Hora,. widening 60 chains road; Waikare to Pacific Cliffs,.s7 chains formation and bridging, etc.; Taraunui Bush road, widening 60 chains heavy sideling road; McKenzie's road, Mangapai, 50 chains new road formation; Ngunguru ford road, 17 chain's formation on deviation; Kanaeranga to Titoki, concrete culvert and fills; Kaimamaku road, 24 chains heavy cutting on deviation.
;'' Works completed.—Jordan-Hukerc-nui, 10 chains metalling at Jordan; Parua to Mount eTiger, widening 42 chains .sideling road; Mangakahia bridge to Houto, quarrying, crushing and carting 3900 yards metal; Aponga to, Harnarama, nine chains formation and metalling at Purua; Carter's road, ijsjrigapai, 28 chains heavy formation; Kiripaka road, deviation, 28 chains heavy formation: Mangapai to Mah-' gonui bridge (upper), 11% chains formation and metalling at Moewhare. The report was approved.
