EX-COUNTY 'MEMBERS SUED. , (Press Association. WANGANUJT, April 20. A number of ex-members oi ! the Wanganui County Council "were sued dt the Magistrate's Court to-day for-a refund of £0 ss, being tin. , amount clisputetl by the Audit Department as excess of unauthorised expenditure. The items were: —Chairman's travelling expenses to the Counties , Conferences and expense of a delegate to the conference on native rates. Counsel for defendent contended that the items were legitimate expenditure. Counsel for the Department contended that no .county money could be spent for promoting legislation. Magistrate Kerr reserved his. .ju.dgiaent.
